Argh, Mateys! If it's fun you be wantin', then make a trip to the Pirates Voyage dinner adventure. Watch the pirate crews of two ships battle over lost treasure while you enjoy a five course meal. The show also features live animals and brand new music by Dolly Parton. Arrive early to enjoy the interactive Pirate Village too.
Click Pirates Voyage for more information and tickets.
Make sure you check out the "Pirate Specials" for discounted combo tickets for Pirates Voyage and either Ripley's Aquarium (not my favorite Myrtle Beach attraction) or Wonderworks (which I have not been to yet because it just opened in 2011, but sounds fun).

Wonderworks, Myrtle Beach Coupons
With so many fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, you can maximize your vacation dollars with coupons. At this time, the only coupon I was able to find for Wonderworks in Myrtle Beach was for the gift shop, but I guess it's better than nothing. Once you get there, you might want to checkout a visitor center for brochures which might have coupons. You should also check the general ticketing centers within Broadway at the Beach. Sometimes they have discounted ticket rates. The Wonderworks website is not yet offering online ticket purchases.

Wonderworks at Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach
The new Wonderworks attraction at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach is now open. They are open year round, but the hours vary, so you might want to check their website before you go.
While at first glance, the attraction seems pricey with tickets and combo packs ranging from $14.99 for children to as high as $39.99, you have to consider value for time. According to the Wonderworks website, it can take as much at 3 or 4 hours to thoroughly explore the attraction, but tickets are good for the whole day. You can come and go as you please. For comparison, an adult Imax ticket for a 2 hour movie is $12.00.
So what do you get for your money at Wonderworks?
Wonderworks Exhibits
Wonderworks offers over 100 interactive science exhibits which allow you to defy gravity, brave a hurricane, play virtual air hockey, play a floor piano, lay on a bed of nails, and so much more.
Wonderworks Ropes Challenge Course
The indor Ropes Challenge Course at Wonderworks in Myrtle Beach features 3 stories of ropes standing over 36 feet tall. Those brave enough to climb the heights will encounter 20 different obstacles. Make sure you go prepared or you will be denied entrance. Closed shoes, no skirts allowed. In addition, you must be at least 3'6" accompanied by an adult or 4' for try it alone. They also have a maximum height of 6'8" and a 300lb weight limit. Finally, you must fit safely in the safety harness.
Laser Tag and Arcade at Wonderworks
Compete again other visitors in the huge blacklit laser tag maze. Just a reminder, do not wear white clothing (including undergarments) if you want to play black light laser tag. White shirt or shorts will make you an easy target and white undergarments will sometimes shine through even a black shirt and make for an embarassing game.
After you shine victorious at laser tag, head out to the arcade for more fun and games.
Soar and Explore
Finally, there is the Soar and Explore teaser that was opened last season. This includes an outdoor ropes course and 1,000ft zipline running across the lake.

New Sports Complex in North Myrtle Beach Approved
The city council of North Myrtle Beach approved the annexation of 1,887 acreas to the city limits yesterday. This land will be home to residential and commercial buildings and a new sports complex which is projected to bring in over $14 million annually in revenue, over $200,000 in taxes and add at least 200 jobs to the local economy. It's location is west of the Intracoastal Waterway near Robert Edge Parkway and S.C. 31.
For us tourists, this means a variety of new tournaments and events to attend, but not for another 2 years at least. The sports facility will include eight multipurpose playing fields, walking trails, an amphitheater, a water play area and a dog park
